Cathy Scalise's 'Amour' Valentine Swap

Well, the swap is over and what a swap it was. Over 60 ladies participated! My swap partner was Sandy of Hobnobbers.

My Valentine box was filled to overflowing with incredibly beautiful and imaginative gifts. Thank you again, Sandy!

I don't know if I can say one was more wonderful than the other... however the heart shaped lace pillow cover was just, well, I have to say it... to die for! It is just breathtaking. Then there was an adorable pair of tiny, ceramic, high heel shoes; a lovely lace doily/place mat; an embroidered, vintage hankie; a silver hors d'oeuvres fork; old hymnal pages; soaps; candles; bath crystals; a beautiful heart shaped, lace covered box which contained shells and game pieces spelling the word LOVE; tea stained, heart shaped paper doilies; bath/facial buff pads; 1920's music sheets; "Bits & Bobs" of trim, lace and stickers; a ceramic bird ornament; a sliver coin purse; gift tags; and of course chocolate! I hope I didn't leave anything out!

I was sent the links to all the other ladies blogs but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get them to post. I am not that "blog" literate. I can design a brochure for you in Photoshop but just can't seem to get the hang of the blog world. I will keep trying. I will post the list at the bottom, below the photos, but it will only contain their name and the name of their blog. No link.

  13. Hi Vera! Wasn't this the best? Because you asked, and I have to confess . . . A friend cut that heart shaped glass on the box for me. She has a stained glass studio. I actually went to her shop to use her special saw, but it was a terrible time for me, and I wasn't altogether, together . . . you know? She took one look at me and cut it for me. However . . . this saw is amazing! You could feasibly cut out a glass jigsaw puzzle! So, yes, it's hand cut, no, I didn't do it, but a kind friend did. I'm gonna skip on over and see what you made now!
    Great fun!
