The Remodel House Is Complete (at least our part)!!!

After what seems like an eternity, the house we have been remodeling is finished, except for carpet which we have nothing to do with (a sliver lining).

After my elbow got messed up, poor Chester had to do all the running around for supplies. But finally, by Tuesday evening all was complete.

The photos don't really show how bad this house was. And of course the after photos don't really show how well it turned out. That's how is is with photos sometimes!

This is the kitchen before. The cabinet doors had already been taken off before I got there.

These two photos are after.

This refrigerator cabinet had been moved into the hall so it was a little difficult to get a good pic.

After, and in it's permanent location.

And after.

I can tell you that I am happy, happy, happy it is over. We have so much to do at home so we are redirecting our energy to our own backyard, roof, windows, floors...

Until next time!

You all did a fantastic job, it's just beautiful. Love the cabinets and the floor in the living room is awesome. Now it's time for you to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

  2. Thanks Lisa! Yes we are turning our attention to our house now. MY kitchen is still a hodge podge of different cabinet styles and a plywood back splash! But soon, very soon we are getting to it!

  4. What a great job! That is a huge amount of work you and Chester did. I have great hopes of having my kitchen back in order and ready for the after pics next week. The wall paper removal just about did me in! But in the end it will be worth it to have a nice bright kitchen.

  5. WOW, Vera - it all looks amazing! I couldn't help but notice the pretty tile backsplash in the kitchen. Isn't that what set your elbow off? I cannot imagine how good it must feel to have that BIG job finished. I wish I could do the happy dance with you - but my kness hurt - what a pair we'd make!
Congrats again. Now work on your own place slowly.

  7. Wow I am in awe how much you guys got done. It must of been really a pain to go thru all of that remolding. I bet you can literally sleep better at night now that its done. I think I havent seen a prettier kitchen for a long time. I am very happy for you. How I would love to come and cook something in that kitchen. Kath'

  8. I am so sorry if I have mislead anyone about the remodel. This kitchen did turn out to be beautiful. But it isn't OUR kitchen. The house belongs to a friend of Chester's brother. We just contracted out the remodel.

We are starting on our own kitchen as soon as Chester gets the roof replaced.
